Our Story
Our first trip to Vietnam in was off the beaten path. We visited rural villages and ethnic minorities where people’s homes were so inadequate that they would fall apart when it rained…
…Families who didn’t know where their next meal would come from.
…Children forced to work in roadside brothels.
…Villages were bathing and drinking from the same source of water as for going to the bathroom.
These people are neglected by the government. There is no social support or safety net for these rural villages. Entire communities forgotten by the entire world.
With a desire to give back and help the most vulnerable in our home country, and the belief that every person deserves to live with dignity, we formed Care2Share and started our mission.
Together we are a 100% volunteer-based nonprofit headquartered in Cincinnati, OH.

To bring poverty relief to forgotten Vietnamese people in remote villages and ethnic communities in Vietnam & Cambodia.

We envision that the most poor and neglected Vietnamese people will have the power to lift themselves out of poverty; and to create vital, healthy lives; for themselves and their families.
Annual Mission Trips
Every year, a team pays their own way to make our annual mission trip meet with our local leaders and carefully assess and measure each project’s progress.

We have worked in over 23+ locations throughout VIetnam and Cambodia.
There are forgotten Vietnamese people in Vietnam and Cambodia today. These isolated areas are forbidden by foreign visitors. They are exempt from social support and safety nets due to their ethnic minority status. They are ignored by their countrymen. And that’s not right. And that’s why we focus our work here.
How we do our work

Assessing the need
Care2Share members (who all live in the USA) researches remote villages and ethnic communities, which don’t receive any protection or social support by their government. These are communities with the greatest need. We work through community leaders and invite these communities to writea proposal.
Selecting The Best Partners
Care2Share members receive and review proposals. We choose local managers with proven experience in their area of expertise and have shown success in project monitoring and financial management.Of equal importance, these managers also possess strong relationships with communities and the government.
Designing The System
Once local managers are chosen, Care2Share members come together with the communities to design the most fitting and sustainable solution and commit to fundraise the work in the USA.
Community Ownership
Those who are receiving benefit from our funds are highly involved and leading the project. We work with them, not for them. This ensures that the local managers are in control and that the projects continue year round
Follow Up
Care2Share members make regular follow-up visits during our annual mission trips to ensure that the project is working and learn how we might improve the quality of our work.
Results
The ultimate goal for every project is for the locals to take over. It is awe-inspiring to watch generations of children receive our support, grow up, and come back to their village to continue our mission. Most villages where we have started work no longer need us.
